Welcome to Jumpman Intel (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We operate jumpmanintel.com, a Jordan Brand sneaker intelligence platform that tracks releases, scores drops, and delivers daily intel to sneaker enthusiasts.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site or subscribe to our newsletter, how we use that information, and your rights with respect to your data. By using Jumpman Intel, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We keep this plain English because you deserve to know exactly what’s happening with your data — no legalese runaround.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We only collect what we actually need. Here’s the full picture:

  • Email address — collected when you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter. We do not collect your name unless you provide it.
  • Usage data via Google Analytics 4 — when you browse the site, GA4 collects anonymized data including: pages visited, session duration, referring source (e.g., Google search, social media), device type, browser type, and approximate geographic region (country/city level). IP addresses are anonymized before storage.
  • Cookies — Google Analytics places cookies in your browser to distinguish unique visitors and sessions (see Section 4 for details). We do not use any other first-party cookies.
  • No payment data — we do not process payments of any kind. All purchase transactions occur on third-party retail sites (Nike, StockX, GOAT, Foot Locker, etc.). We never see, store, or handle your payment information.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:

  • Newsletter emails — to send you drop alerts, release calendars, and weekly intel newsletters via ConvertKit. We only send what you signed up for.
  • Analytics data — to understand how readers use the site (which pages are popular, where traffic comes from, how long people spend on content) so we can improve coverage and the overall experience.
  • We do not sell your data to any third party, period. Your email address and usage data are used exclusively to operate and improve Jumpman Intel.
  • We do not use your data for behavioral advertising targeting. Google AdSense may show contextual ads based on the page content, not based on your personal profile or browsing history tracked by us.

4. COOKIES

Jumpman Intel uses a minimal set of cookies, all related to Google Analytics 4. We do not use any advertising or retargeting cookies of our own.

  • _ga — the main Google Analytics cookie. Used to distinguish unique users. Expires after 2 years.
  • _gid — distinguishes users across 24-hour sessions. Expires after 24 hours.
  • _gat — used to throttle request rate to Google Analytics. Expires after 1 minute.

There are no tracking pixels, no Facebook Pixel, and no other third-party analytics scripts beyond GA4.

To opt out of Google Analytics cookies:

  • Use your browser’s cookie settings to block or delete cookies from google-analytics.com.
  • Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which prevents GA from collecting data about your visits.

5. THIRD-PARTY LINKS & AFFILIATE LINKS

Jumpman Intel contains links to third-party retailers and marketplaces including Nike, StockX, GOAT, Foot Locker, Champs Sports, Eastbay, and others. These are often affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you click through and make a qualifying purchase — at no extra cost to you.

These third-party sites operate under their own privacy policies. Once you leave jumpmanintel.com, we have no control over and are not responsible for the data collection, storage, or use practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before making any purchase.

6. EMAIL NEWSLETTER (CONVERTKIT)

Our email newsletter is managed by ConvertKit (also known as Kit). When you subscribe, your email address is stored on ConvertKit’s servers and processed according to their privacy policy, available at kit.com/privacy.

  • You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send. Your removal is processed immediately.
  • We do not share your email address with any other companies, advertisers, or partners.
  • We do not send your email to other ConvertKit subscribers or include you in any list sharing.
  • ConvertKit may track email opens and link clicks within our newsletters for deliverability and analytics purposes. This is standard practice for email marketing platforms.

7. GOOGLE ANALYTICS

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and interact with Jumpman Intel. GA4 is a product of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

  • We have enabled IP anonymization in GA4, which means the last portion of your IP address is masked before it is stored by Google. We never see your full IP address.
  • GA4 data is aggregated and used solely to improve site content and structure. We do not use GA4 to build individual user profiles.
  • Google may use the data collected via GA4 in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • To opt out of GA4 tracking entirely, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Jumpman Intel is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with their email address or other personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete that information promptly.

9. YOUR RIGHTS (CCPA / GDPR)

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data. We honor all of the following:

  • Right to access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (primarily your email address and subscription status).
  • Right to correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
